Simon O’Connor

Managing Partner, EY New Zealand

I am committed to ensuring EY is an inclusive environment where our people are valued for who they are and what they bring to our organisation. By embracing diversity of thought, and enabling those different voices to be heard, I want EY to be a shining light for inclusion.

Our initial focus has been on improving our gender statistics, to get more women into leadership roles, but also on addressing other issues like parental leave and domestic violence, which have an impact on women in the workplace. I am also really proud of the work we have done to create EY Tahi, our Māori sector business. This has enabled us to be far more culturally aware, both internally and with our clients, and enables us to protect and advance New Zealand’s unique place in the world.
